Scheduling:

For this week, Chloe was responsible for scheduling the times and dates for filming:

(Schedule copied off from Chloe's blog to show our filming plan - http://chloeastleyasmedia.blogspot.com/2011/11/possible-dates-for-filming-first.html)

We will have all the planning work for filming done by either Wednesday 9th November or Friday 11th November so we may be able to film on the following days:
  • Friday 11th November after school - We could film the indoor scene then as it doesn't hinder too much on what the light outside is like and will also be a fairly quick scene to film. A problem would be the actors availibility.
  • Saturday 12th November in the afternoon or morning - this is inpropable as we all work on Saturdays and will have to give a weeks notice to get the day off.
  • Sunday 13th November - for me this inpropable as I have work on this day too and won't be able to give enough notice.
  • Wednesday 16th November after school - We could go film after school but it depends on the natural lighting and the weather
  • Friday 18th November - we do not have many lessons that day so we might be able to go to our location on that day and film. A problem could be that transport could be harder as our parents may be at work but we do have alternate means of transport: my sister or public transport.
  • Saturday 19th November - This is more propable because we can give our employers enough notice that we will need to have this day off. We will be able to have the whole day and there is more possibility that our actress will be available because it's not a school day.
  • Sunday 20th November - We have agreed to film for Laura and Emma, other students in our class so this is inpropable unless we do the filming in the morning
As a group we will discuss these dates and finalise the date after we know the storyboard, made sure the actor is available on those dates and made sure we can all make those dates.

Actor/s:

This is our friend Annie Lock who will play the character Snow White for us :D

(picture taken by me)

How she fits into the character Snow White?
  • Long dark coloured hair
  • Tall and slim
  • Annie has quite a pale skin complexion, so this means we do not need to cake her up in makeup to achieve the pale look on her
  • She's 17 and the character Snow White is 18, so she will make the character look believeable.
Just an additional - Annie took Drama GCSE so she'll be able to portray the character well!

For the analysis of our character Snow White - please read through the Prezi I have created and posted below!

Action Plan - Week 5:

For this week's action plan:

Individually:

Chloe will be:
  • Writing out the script for the first two minutes of the film
  • Scheduling the time and checking the weather forecast before filming - the scheduling makes sure we are all free that day including the actor - Annie Lock.
  • Costumes and makeup - purchasing the items or making the costumes - Chloe, will be learning to make fake blood from her friend.
Tayla will be:
  • Analysing the actor - as in how the actor fits into the character Snow White
  • Shotlists - looking into camera shots and angles, and what ones we could be possibly be using.
  • Music - she will be looking into writing to the producers and ask for permission.
I will be:
  • Creating the storyboard - I will be creating two storyboards - a drawn one and a pictured one.
  • Analysing our character Snow White - not the Disney princess, but our character.
  • Props - carry on finishing the prop, and trying to find the other props - apple and a knife.

Todays lesson:

Completed work inidvidually:

For today's lessons, we were split into groups of three and four, and I was put into a group with Laura and Jamiul. We had to go round and look at different pieces of work from the previous years and "mark" their research and planning.

What is needed for good planning and research:
  • Research into similar products and a potential target audience
  • Organisation of actors, locations, costumes or props
  • Work on shotlists, storyboards, animatics and scripting
  • Good care on presentation of research and planning
  • Time management
From looking at the criteria for good planning and researching, it has helped me individualy and as a group plan for our Week 5 action plan (will be posted after this).

Prop making:

Work completed individually:

Okay, so during a double free period, I went over to art and started to create the hazard sign that we will use for filming..
The pictures below show the process of making the hazard sign.

P.s I haven't finished yet, so it looks erm a little weird at the moment!

Oh I forgot to mention, this is blogged on my phone! So the pictures may look a bit big or the layout will look a little weird and the spacing might be huge but I'll edit that on my laptop!

Psycho film analysis:

Completed work individually:

I have done the analysis for Psycho during the half term week, but I haven't had the time to use voice thread, but anyway I've recorded the voice thread thing, and I will be uploading the video onto here in a short while!
