Choosing our location:

Work completed individually:

After discussing together as a group, we have decided to use the location 'Ashridge'.
The reasons for this is because:
  • Spacious - several options of different places to film at Ashridge
  • The area is deserted - isolated from other people, convey to audience Snow White is disconnected from the outside world
  • Safe - houses and parks nearby
  • Just a few occasional interuptions from people walking by
  • The colours in the surrounding are generally dark, which connotes to the audience mystery and death
However, there will be some risks and cons about Ashridge:
  • Ashridge is a 15-20 minute drive from Hemel, this may be inconvinient for us to get there.
  • It is getting dark early, so filming may not be as successful
  • People walking by may distrupt us
  • If the location is wet, this could be a hazard for us filming and for the actors.
Ways we will tackle the problems:
  • One of our parents will take us to Ashridge on a Saturday as it is the most suitable day/time for all of us
  • We can go and film at an earlier time, e.g. during the day, or before 4pm
  • We can find a possible spot at Ashridge, where we will be less disturbed by people walking by
  • We could check the weather forecast before, so this will give us an idea on how the weather conditions will be like for filming
